You are emotionally biased in your reactions to events and experiences with people. You are impressionable and have difficulty in realistically evaluating the conditions you react to. Perhaps you are aware of this tendency and are annoyed with yourself for not being more objective. You are a victim of habits that have become so deeply ingrained that they are difficult to change. You are emotionally vulnerable to strong character types who try to mold you to their liking, and you are often powerless to do anything but submit. Your difficulty in facing reality increases your problems in relationships because people are never sure how you will react to them. You are a sentimentalist with strong ties to family and home. It is not easy to transfer those ties to other people with whom you can associate in a personal, emotional relationship. But it is important for you to break away from the past and the limits it imposes on your freedom. You will then be able to develop on your own without feeling that you must get someone else''s approval.

The abrasive conditions of open competition will always be painful unless you can insulate yourself by learning to cope with people and circumstances intellectually. You will thus learn that everyone has certain feelings of apprehension about meeting challenges and that you are not alone with this problem. If you talk with your friends about this, you will see that they too have similar anxieties. Knowing this might comfort you. Do not take on more burdens than you need to, especially in your career. Get an education if you do not already have one, for it will help you succeed in meeting competition. Be wary of associates who may try to get you to compensate for their lack of ability and then leave you holding the bag if things do not turn out as expected. Above all, keep your personal affairs to yourself. Do not give adversaries the opportunity to learn your weaknesses. And stop feeling sorry for yourself.

At times you may overreact to emotional situations and expend too much psychic energy in coping with a relationship. This approach is not necessarily bad or counter productive, but your partner may be a bit puzzled when you get so wrought up about a situation that does not warrant it. The basic detriment of this attitude is the drain on your energy, leaving you unable to deal with a really demanding situation. Since your emotional overreaction seem to run in set patterns, you can get around this difficulty by relying on your partner to let you know when you are going too far. If you take note of when and where that happens, in future situations you can consciously hold back and save a good deal of stress. Part of the reason for this over expenditure of energy may be that you feel that you cannot communicate effectively, that people do not understand your message unless you really assault them with it. This may be true in part, but you can solve that problem by being verbally precise and not relying on subtler clues of expression or body language to get the message across. In your case such tactics may actually belie your words.
